Kanye West has added to his real estate portfolio with a significant new purchase. According to The Dirt, the music mogul recently purchased a 3,665-square-foot Malibu mansion.
The sprawling property, designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, features minimalistic designs, 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a garage, and a stunning ocean view. This is one of only a few homes designed by Ando.
Onlookers dubbed the three-story structure “part house, part sculpture,” and it reportedly required 1,200 tons of poured concrete, 200 tons of steel reinforcement, and 12 pylons driven 60 feet into the ground to keep the heavy house from sinking into the sand.
Although no interior photos are available online, the top floor of the home features a penthouse-level bedroom suite and a rooftop oceanside terrace. What a sway!
According to the news outlet, Kanye got a great deal on the mansion, which was listed for $75 million last year. The Donda rapper reportedly paid $57.3 million for the latest addition to his collection of homes throughout the county.
